Tasked with creating a typeface with personal significance, I chose to simulate the feeling of dyslexia in type. There are already typefaces that help users read more easily. Instead, I wanted to play with the idea of ambiguity through scrambled lines to show how reading feels.

STYLE

The scribbles represent the experience of crossing out words in writing, by making the tangled lines part of the design.

INSPIRATION

Growing up with dyslexia, I always felt that it was misrepresented and I wanted to depict what I experienced sometimes. I wanted the typeface to feel almost unreadable.
